Morning all. I have a friend who would like win 11 on his pc. So to help i have downloaded the iso but am unable to burn a bootable usb with the mint image writer. Is there another piece of software i could use. Many thanks to all./

Yep, i just found that out.
Ventoy works with Windows 10 and 11.

No, I'm personally not surprised at all their website is a little misleading. It does work on windows, yet they warn within their own program that it isn't meant for windows isos when you try to burn one to a flash drive.

Because the Win 11 iso is 6.3 GiB (6.8 GB), I even tried it with exFat.
With any format option, you get this
Etcher allows you to continue through this to completion (27 minutes plus 5 mins validation).
On reboot, you get a black screen with a message that it can't find a valid bootable medium and to press any key to exit and continue, but no keys worked for me and I had to power down.
