Morning all. I have a friend who would like win 11 on his pc. So to help i have downloaded the iso but am unable to burn a bootable usb with the mint image writer. Is there another piece of software i could use. Many thanks to all./

I found one called Woeusb. Will do the job from what i read.

Ventoy works with Windows 10 and 11.

Actually, it is true, Brian - I spent some time trying it.

I can dig up some references if you like.

Because the Win 11 iso is 6.3 GiB (6.8 GB), I even tried it with exFat.

With any format option, you get this

Etcher allows you to continue through this to completion (27 minutes plus 5 mins validation).

On reboot, you get a black screen with a message that it can't find a valid bootable medium and to press any key to exit and continue, but no keys worked for me and I had to power down.

That being said, with Ventoy, as Stan @atanere suggested above, once your stick is set up with Ventoy, it is a piece of cake.

5 minutes for copy and paste, reboot and Bob's your uncle.

... and no, I am not going to install it to see that it works, lol.

But I looked at the first couple of screens.
