Cannon do not have print drivers for Linux, I used to get a similar problem with a HP printer, the only way I could get it working was un plug the usb [if connected] ,go to the printers [in menu] ,uninstall the drivers, then switch on the printer and re-connect the USB to re load the drivers

Just as an FYI, Canon DOES HAVE drivers for this OS. See rest of this thread.

If you need help with Timeshift, swing over to my thread at My Timeshift Thread or you can have a read of something like Linux Lite have

If you come to me, have your Linux distro info handy (name, version, desktop environment) and have out put of

inxi -Fxz

available (with any external drives plugged in)
