Hey guys,
struggling hard to encrypt my ssd on my surface pro 5 M1796 128GB after it did update to Win10 and hung up in a recovery loop.
Steps done:
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS via 64GB SanDisk USB 3.0 in Live Mode
Commands done
sudo apt-add-repository universe
sudo apt-get install dislocker
sudo mkdir /media/bitlocker
sudo mkdir /media/mount
sudo lsblk
-nvme0n1 119.2G (This should be my encrypted disk, isn´t it?)
sudo dislocker -v -V /dev/nvme0n1 --recovery-password=437[............]09495 -- /media/bitlocker
Now I get the errors:
The Signature of the volume () doesn´t match the BitLocker´s ones (-FVE-F5- os MSWIN4.1). Abort.
Cannot parse volume header. Abort
another time i did get sth like:
...is not a directory
...could not read byte
So I try to encrypt on my surface the local disk, should I go via an external disk or why do I get the errors?
Soooo thankful for any help!
Cheers guys!
