Hello @abdul17,
What is it that your trying to compile? Ubuntu may have too newer libs, etc. compared to centOS. Cent has been dropped by Redhat so you may be better served by using one of the new versions. Such as rocky that just released a new version or
Alma.

Such as rocky that just released a new version or
Alma.

Rocky and Alma are similar, but unrelated to each other. CentOS is still around, but they have moved to an "upstream"
format. They are still pretty much Redhat, but have newer/less tested binaries. They aren't a 100% compatible with the
current version of Redhat.

Depending on what what you are compiling, the binaries may or may not be compatible with Ubuntu.
As @kc1di mentioned, the kernel versions, and libraries are different, but also Ubuntu/Debian uses a deb/apt
packaging format. Redhat/CentOS/Fedora uses a rpm/dnf packaging format.
