Hello, I'm relatively new to Linux, I have a basic understanding and can at least use the cl. Any help would be appreciated.
So I use garuda linux to mostly game. I have never had any real issues until recently.
I have two internet connections. One is a wifi connection the other is done through a tethering app. While using the tethering app I am able to connect to anything [web pages, games, servers, etc.] with no issue other than high ping. While connected to my home internet I am able to connect to web pages, steam, etc but a few games will not allow me to connect to servers. The primary one is League of Legends. Until recently this has never been an issue. I do not recall doing an update or changing any networking settings in the last 3 days that this has become an issue. Note: While on the tether connection, it still works.
-
The issue: My home internet connection will not allow me to connect to lol servers.
Previous experience: Worked just fine.
What changed: Not a clue.
Expectation: Would expect my home internet to allow me to connect to anything in the same way that my tethering connection does.
-
So here is a little bit of information about what I have tried to resolve this myself.
1. I have reset my firewall settings.
2. I have checked to make sure that it is not an issue with the isp.
3. I can reproduce this every time.
4. I have checked that I have no other services I.E. protmaster, Interfering with the connection.
5. Checked that I can also connect to the servers on another machine using the home internet. "works"
I know im supposed to include some Information about my system but I don't know what information that would be so ill include what I know and if you need more or can lead me on the correct path to figure it out my self I would be so happy. ty.
