Parrot OS VMware ESXI install failing

Hi Everyone,

I'm having some issues installing Parrot OS (any version) as a virtual machine on VMWARE ESXI.

I have given the VM 4vCPUs, 16GB of RAM and 50GB HDD

I'm mainly from a networking background (CCNP) with some basic linux knowledge.

The reason I want to install Parrot OS is to play around with hack the box.

The ISO I am using is Parrot-htb-5.3_amd64.iso (tried others too)

Once I go through the install wizard, I get the error message in the screenshot after around 10 mins

I've done a quick google but not got anywhere

If this is a low effort post I do apologise, like I said I have basic linux knowledge

If you need more information to help, please let me know

Many of VMs in ESXi do not name their disk devices /dev/sdX.
Often they are /dev/vdX

Some distro's hard code the install to look for /dev/sdX

I don't know if Parrot is one of them, but I've had trouble with some distro's getting to install
on /dev/nvme0n1 and /dev/mmc01

I'm using a Cisco R210-2121605W with VMware-ESXi-6.0.0-10719132-Custom-Cisco-6.0.3.6

I was able to install ubuntu without issue. Unsure if the following information is helpful

Got it working

Created a 2nd partion as FAT 32, with legacy boot flag, mounted to /boot
