Problem when operating the device

The problem was solved by accident after the attached lessons were applied.
Problem solved

Is this correct?

Is the problem solved?

Next time you post, include the specs so that we know all about your system without having to ask. Also describe what has happened before the problem arose. What have you tried to solve the problem?

By the way, do you have Timeshift set up ?

Copy and paste the specs to a place where you can find them easily. It may also be an idea to print them.

(All you actually need to remember is the Name of the laptop and the model number, the desktop (xfce) the Linux Mint version, Intel Core i7, Integrated Graphics, and tha amount of RAM it has.) It will depend on the problem but more info may be necessary.....if that is so then the person here may ask for more info.

If you can copy and paste the whole thing then that is good.

Well done, Tariq, that is excellent work :) and excellent news.

Timeshift

In your Linux Mint 20 Xfce 'Ulyana' you will find it under

Menu - System - Timeshift

Suggest you add it to your Panel icons or your Desktop as you will use it.

Before you use it the first time, I suggest you read the following 2 articles:

From Linux Lite OS Help Manual

https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/tutorials.html#timeshift

and from It's FOSS (Free and Open Source Software)

https://itsfoss.com/backup-restore-linux-timeshift/

I have a Thread here on Timeshift

https://www.linux.org/threads/timeshift-similar-solutions-safeguard-recover-your-linux.15241/

Have a read through it first before asking me any questions.

If you can become experienced at using Timeshift, you can almost always "roll back" your System to a point where it was working well.

Cheers

Wizard
