We all knew this was going to happen. Adobe Flash 11.2 security updates will end next month (from the time of this writing). Since flash is already vulnerable it is highly recommended you completely remove it from your system after the security updates end.

Some alternatives include (no DRM):
HTML 5 - Youtube, twitch, Netflix (Google Chrome)
GNASH
Lightspark
shumway

My personal favorite is Freshplayer which will use the NAPI plugin pulled from Google Chrome.

For DRM:
Google Chrome with Pepper flash + HAL-Flash.

Google Chrome (not Chromium) has a built-in Flash plugin, but that only works on 64-bit distros. That is if you really want Adobe Flash.
