Well, some interesting points, but we've seen the failure of Stadia because gaming + cloud... no. Not enough horsepower, higher latency... LTT did a comparison of a few offerings and IIRC nVidia was the "better". Anyway, Linux may gain usership if cloud desktop became a thing, but I'm far more inclined to the mobile phone and docking as the tech is all already in existence, it's just a matter of implementing it in a way to relieve bottlenecks. Cloud is infeasible for 100% of the time cozza downtime and vulnerability to attack.
Oh, and just to be snarky, "XFCE is old-fashioned looking" -- BS statement of the year. Excuse the tiny screen, my desktop is down so I'm using my laptop with my desktop's theming, which doesn't look too good (1366x768 vs 1920x1080), but this was a quick fresh install which I had to get up and running in like an hour (my desktop looks waaay better and has conky, etc.) Anyhow, reference (yes, it's late, I'm having a little insomnia, but I am off to bed shortly once I finish my Rooibos tea):
