Mine is a Macbook Pro.Now it is loaded with LinuxMint-21.2 cinnamon and is working well. But now the EFI setting could not be accessed, nor the USB devices are not showing up, when the Opt key is pressed while starting The OS was updated two or three times. How can I access the start manager or to atleast show up the USB devices?
How to cancel all updates made?

G'day Sankaranarayana, Welcome to Linux.org

Please do not double post.

What do you mean by the efi 'setting'

What is the opt key?

There will be people here who are not familiar with keys on a macbook pro......including myself.

If the system was updated 2 or 3 times.....it would NOT be a geat idea to attempt to cancel them. Why would you wish to do that?

There is no BIOS setting in Mac books, instead it is provided with UEFI
OPT key is equivalent to Alt key. Sir, the USB device (pen drive) is not seen in the boot option. If the updated items were cancelled, perhaps the key bindings will again work to show up the boot devices.Macbook pro is provided with Apple international keyboard which is not a part of Linux Mint
OR what is a solution to reboot via USB

Apple international keyboard
This should not be a problem, drivers should have automatically installed to check you could run modprobe hid_apple and see what the report says.

the USB device (pen drive) is not seen in the boot option.
There have been several different ways to open boot order on macs over the years, if the machine is a mac silicon [newer than june 2020] then you open the boot order by pressing and holding the power on button, and a boot option screen will appear.
If a device is not showing, then check the connections, if its a ISO installation pen-drive, make sure it has been made as a bootable drive.
