I just ask for fun because I don't know too many linux distros.
There is not one and it also depends on your personal preferences what you find beautiful, take your pick. And you can customize as much as you like to make it look beautiful to your needs and likes.I just ask for fun because I don't know too many linux distros.
I agree with JasKInasis that sometimes minimal, lightweight is desirable.
I tend to be just the opposite, I have two 24 core systems, with 96GB of RAM and 3 TB disk space.
I like MATE (one of the heavier desktops) I run multiple VM's, multiple databases, multiple web server,s multiple application servers, a few games, WINE, some 3-D graphocs apps, all while listening to mp3's and browsing the web. What good is having all this horsepower if you don't use it.
On the other end, if you really want a dedicated server, for say a LAMP stack, you probably don't want GUI's, games, and a lot of extra stuff running.
There's only one. And that's the one that works right for you!
