Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. I'm a beginner in Linux and wanted to switch to it ever since I discovered it last year. But the problem is I can't find a distro that is for me. Can you help me? I'm also a gamer and would like a distro that's good for games since most of my game are on Linux. I'm currently split between Manjaro, Solus and Zorin.

Some distros might LOOK like Windows but Linux is not Windows and Windows is not Linux. They will not BEHAVE like Windows.

You are probably on the right track with Manjaro, Solus and Zorin.

The ultimate decision is yours. Most of the people here use Linux because they like Linux, not Windows...

Ubuntu also have a Game Pack Edition.

Here is fine :)

I won't vote for now, because I am not a current Gamer, which seems your focus. I have both Manjaro and Zorin, but I multiboot 60 - 80 Linux at a time, and Solus caused me problems.

That being said, it is very popular with Gamers.

A good read imo.

I understand wanting a Windows environment when making the transition from Windows to Linux.:)

A new Linux user must be willing to learn about how Linux works in order to have a good first Linux experience.o_O:eek:

If a new Linux user isn't willing and lacks the desire to learn about how Linux works than the user might well be better off sticking with Windows.:eek:o_O:mad:

Manjaro a rolling Linux distro although stable is not for the novice Linux user as things break sometimes.

Zorin is OK although I'd recommend Linux Mint over Zorin.

Solus ain't never tried so ain't got no opinion.

Just my opinion.:)

Gaming ?.....no idea....pay attention to others for that

Dive in.....install them one at a time....spend at least a couple of weeks on each....

Then make a choice
