how can i delete ubuntu and continue using mint?It seems you already have Mint installed. But you are wanting the GUI ( graphical interface ).
When you login, you can try this command.
startx
If that works, you make your computer do this automatically for you this way..
systemctl set-default graphical.target
if it doesn't work, you may not have the desktop applications and libraries installed.
I don't use Mint, so someone else may be better to help you with that part.

did you read any of the information in the getting started forum? do you have any files/folders/pictures in the old installation that you need to keep, of so save them to a spare usb pendrive, then your easiest answer is to start again with the distribution of your choice
