I found something online I can try. Someone with a similar problem who also has an ASUS mobo fixed the problem by resetting the CMOS.
He can get into UEFI now.

I'm connected to my phone hot spot..
And this is a perfect example of how frazzled my mind is right now...
I don't use a wireless connection for anything. My tower has an external antenna. Since I don't use wireless connections for anything, the antenna stays in the back room with other electronic things I don't use or need.
I'm going to get back to work on that thing I was working on before something else happens. I'll have to figure out the rest later.
Thank you for helping me calm down enough to remember that antenna. One thing I've never understood though is why my computer can see the hot spot with the antenna but can't connect. But that's for another day.
