For step 1.1, my system has LM 20.2 but the ISO is now 21.3. Should 21.3 be fine to create a bootable drive of the linux Mint live? if not, where can I get the older version 20.2? linuxmint.com doesn't have a section to retrieve older versions.

Support for Mint 20 series ends next year...why not install Mint 21.3...it goes to 2027.
